Prologue; Jeremiah Tate is nearing 16 years old and struggling to become a man in a family without his father. What he does not know can hurt him, yet what he does know leads him to explore further. On his 16th birthday, he is confronted with a situation that turns his entire world upside down, everything that he had believed in was suddenly suspect. When he finally works it all out in his mind, he is no longer the boy he thought he was, nor was he completely human.

The Wolf Folk are an ancient race, their exact origins are lost in the mists of time. They are likely the origin of the legends about Werewolves, however they are neither werewolves nor are they wolves. They are shape-shifters who have the ability to modify their appearance and are telepaths of considerable power. They mentally convince their observer of their wolf status. There were originally six great houses or families of shape-shifters that lived in peace with their human brothers. As civilizations began to grow, those jealous of the Wolf Folk began to harass them. They held humans in great esteem and refused to fight back. As continents began to emerge from the ice ages, the Wolf Folk emigrated away from their homelands and arrived in Alaska about 10,000 years ago, crossing the land bridge with the peoples who became the Hopi, the Cherokee and the Athabascans. The latter betrayed them and were subsequently shunned by the Wolf Folk, although they retained legends of shape shifters as their descendants became the Navajo and the Apache peoples. They had few laws among them, however, their traditions would not allow them to hurt a human, nor, for that matter, eat one, despite what old tales said. In fact, the Oath of the Prime Pack Leader stated, in part, "in sight of the Great Creator, I shall allow no harm to come to our cousins, the Humans through fault or deed of my own or those holding allegiance to me. I swear this upon my Ring and my life, so help me God!" This oath was so binding, no wolf would cross the line and harm a Human, nor allow harm to come to a human.

From Book 8; Jeremiah did indeed adopt both John and Paul, bringing his boy pack to four teens. They had all gone through their change, when he and Chub took their pack on a run in the mountains, folks would call the Forest Service about a pack of wolves in the area. The calls usually went no further than the desk of Chief Ranger Wild Ox. Jeremiah knew the time was fast approaching that he would have to take Tosco back to his people, the young man had gained the stature of a man and was already a leader of wolves. Several times, Jeremiah had observed Tosco practicing with a tree limb as his staff, the young man was well over six feet tall and had the shoulders of an ox. He would be a leader his clan could look up to. He had demonstrated a rare insight in handling others and was fast becoming a leader of the boys they had rescued from the north.

CALL OF THE MAYA

Jeremiah contacted Jonal and asked him of the progress the Wolf Folk of The Yucatan were making. He reported to his Prince that all were well, many babies had been born and the Clan was thriving.

Jeremiah said to him, "Are they ready for their Prince?"

Jonal replied, "We are ready, is the boy?"

Jeremiah laughed, "Jonal, THE BOY is 6' 8" tall and goes 240 pounds! His Wolf is to be feared! He is no longer a boy."

They made plans to return to Cancun and the Leaders of those rescued from the wilds of Canada asked if they might go along.

Jeremiah had a surprise for those boys and, with Chub's assistance, he sprung it on them that night. As soon as they had finished supper, he asked them to join him in the Sept Meeting Hall.

When the boys stepped into the hall, all 100 of Jeremiah's Warriors were standing at attention. Jeremiah strode into the hall, in full Clan Regalia of his office, and turned to face the boys, "Tosco of the Maya Clan, stand before me." "PRINCE WOLF TOSCO OF THE MAYA, TO THEE I GIVE YOUR STAFF OF AUTHORITY, TREAT IT WELL LORD ALPHA WOLF OF THE MAYA CLAN CANCUN."

He continued, "PRINCES WOLF JOSEPH, JOHN AND PAUL, STAND BEFORE ME AND RECEIVE YOUR STAFFS AS PRINCES OF THIS FAMILY TATE OF THE HOUSES OF CED AND JEP, TREAT THEM WELL LORDS PRINCE WOLVES OF MY FAMILY."

They made plans to fly down to the Yucatan the following week, Jeremiah contacted Jonal and together, they planned a grand celebration to install the new Clan Alpha Wolf of the Maya Clan Cancun.

Jonal reported that they had found an iron chest that appeared to have belonged the last Clan Alpha. Jeremiah asked if they had opened it and Jonal told him that was reserved for Tosco.

Tosco was standing beside Jeremiah, listening to all that Jonal and Jeremiah discussed. Jeremiah held Tosco's hand and sent an image of the new leader, Jonal's only comment was, "WOW!"

Tosco blushed bright red and giggled.

The day of their departure arrived and 100 Warrior Wolves lined the ladder into the plane in honor of Tosco, each saluting him as he passed by them, 50 of those Warriors climbed in the plane as an Honor Guard to the young wolf who had become one of them in their hearts.

Tosco was shaking and near to tears, "Papa, what if I am not good enough, what if……"

Jeremiah shushed him and said, "My Son, you ARE good enough, you have all the qualities of a great leader and you are MY SON!"

He continued, "You have all that is needed to restore your Clan and redeem your folk."

Somewhat placated, Tosco sat in his seat and worried silently as the large airplane headed south. They stopped briefly in Houston to refuel, before heading on the final leg of their journey to Cancun.

The trip across the Caribbean was calm and uneventful, Tosco dropped into a restless sleep. He awoke with a start, "They are waiting for me at the airport and they have a gift of great importance with them!"

Jeremiah wondered, "The final Gift of the Ancients, FORETELLING?" he wondered. He searched his own mind and saw a ring with a red stone in it. He shuddered and thought, "Another Heir of the Ancients?" He then realized that he, also, had the Gift of Foretelling!

He contacted his Father and asked about the red stone, Franklin replied with one phrase, "The Family of Gal is represented by a red ruby!"

While Jeremiah was wondering how to tell Tosco, Franklin sat at his desk considering his son and Heir who was now Father to a powerful Ancient Line as well as Heir of the Most Ancient Line making him the most powerful wolf on the planet!

He thought, "There will need to be some changes when Jeremiah returns home." He called for Peter, who had been left behind, as Jeremiah wished to go further into Central America in search of additional lost wolves.

Peter was not happy about being left behind, but he was trying to be gracious about it. Franklin and Peter discussed what their next move should be for Jeremiah, who was becoming a World Leader of the Wolf Folk.

The Blue and White plane landed at the private airport of Cancun and taxied up to their reserved hanger. As the hanger doors opened, there stood 100 Warrior Wolves in full Mayan Regalia, their spears held at salute as the cabin door opened and both Tosco and Jeremiah stood at the top of the accommodation ladder.

Chub slipped around to stand in front of Jeremiah and Tosco, he pounded his own ceremonial staff upon the landing and announced, "ALL STAND IN GREETING, THE LORD PRINCE ALPHA WOLF OF THE MOST ANCIENT FAMILY OF CED, WOLF AMBASSADOR PLENIPOTENTIARY TO THE CLANS OF THE AMERICAS, FATHER TO THE FAMILIES JEP AND GAL, LORD ALPHA WOLF OF THE SEPT OF CHARLOTTE, PRINCE JEREMIAH BRINGS PRINCE JOSEPH OF THE NORTHLAND CLAN OF FAMILY JEP AND PRINCE TOSCO OF THE MAYA CLAN CANCUN OF THE FAMILY GAL. PRINCES WOLF JOHN AND PAUL ACCOMPY THEIR FATHER"

The Warriors pounded their spear butts on the pavement in greeting and Jonal stepped forward, bowing deeply to his Prince and also to Tosco in greeting. He spoke for the folk gathered there, "MY LORDS PRINCE, WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR LANDS AND ASK YOU TO JOIN US IN FESTIVAL OF THE RETURN OF OUR PRINCE TOSCO JEREMIAH TATE."

Jonal stepped forward and placed an iron box on the ground before the ladder. He invited Jeremiah and Tosco to approach the box. Jonal opened the box and withdrew a small leather bag placing it in Jeremiah's hand. Jeremiah opened the bag and brought from an object, he then brought Tosco's hand up and placed an ornate gold ring on Tosco's ring finger, holding his hand so all there could see the large red ruby flashing a bright red of total acceptance.

Jeremiah announced, "ALL HAIL LORD PRINCE TOSCO, HEIR TO THE ANCIENT LINE OF GAL"!

He then turned to Tosco and said, "I SEE THEE, LORD OF FAMILY GAL, I KNOW THEE LORD ALPHA WOLF OF THE MAYA CLAN CANCUN. LET US ALL REJOICE IN ITS RESTORATION"!

Poor Tosco's eyes were beginning to glaze, Jeremiah hugged him and whispered, "You remain my son and I, your Papa."

Tosco's knees were still shaking as he was led to the large black SUV parked on the tarmac. The line of SUVs carrying the Cancun Warriors and guests drove slowly along the road, everywhere they looked, the road was lined with Mayans, anxious to see the return of those of their most ancient legends, THE WOLF FOLK.

As they, at last, drove into the Clan Village, they saw new homes and a large crowd of people, with many children, gathered in greeting.

Tosco's eyes roamed the crowd, seeing many whom he remembered from his early childhood.

As he stepped from the car, the crowd bowed to him and Jonal announced, "WOLF FOLK OF THE MAYA CLAN CANCUN, GREET YOUR LORD ALPHA WOLF AND HIS FATHER. GREET ALSO HIS HONORED GUESTS AND BROTHERS, LORD JOSEPH, HEIR TO THE ANCIENT FAMILY OF JEP, LORDS PRINCE ALPHA WOLF JOHN AND PAUL OF THE FAR NORTHERN CLANS"

The festivities began immediately, young children came out, dressed in their finest clothing, garlands of flowers cascading from their shoulders as they danced for their new Alpha Wolf.

Teen boys mock battled with spears and great knives and, finally, the Warriors demonstrated their proficiency with rifles and grenades.

When the demonstrations were over, teen girls began bringing out the food they had helped prepare to be served. The teen boys unearthed the bullock they had cooked in an earth oven with all sorts of vegetables from their own lands. The tables were loaded with fruits, also of their own lands.

Everyone ate until they could eat no more. Tosco stood and everyone looked towards this mature wolf, his stature and broad shoulders marked him as a great warrior among warriors and his eyes told them he would be a compassionate and wise ruler.

He looked around at his folk, noting how their numbers had increased and their look of well fed contentment, "MY PEOPLE, I COME BACK TO YOU, NOT AS A RULER, BUT AS A LEADER. MY FATHER HAS SCHOOLED ME WELL AND I SHALL USE HIS EXAMPLE TO MAKE YOU, MY OWN FOLK, A SUCCESSFUL CLAN, RECLAIMING OUR HERITAGE THAT WAS LOST AND, ONCE AGAIN, FILLING OUR LANDS WITH HAPPY, WELL FED FOLK AND HAPPY CHILDREN."

He turned to Jeremiah and said, "MY FATHER, I HUMBLY ASK YOUR FAVOR, I ASK THAT YOU ALLOW WARRIOR JONAL TO REMAIN WITH HIS SON, TECITO, THAT YOU ALLOW HIM TO BE MY PRINCIPAL ADVISOR TO HELP ME MAKE MY FOLK ALL THEY CAN BE."

Jeremiah hugged Tosco and replied, "MY BELOVED SON, ALL THAT YOU ASK SHALL BE GIVEN AND MORE. WARRIOR JONAL, STAND AND FACE ME."

When Jonal had stood facing his Prince, Jeremiah continued, "WARRIOR JONAL I NAME THEE PRINCIPAL WOLF WARRIOR LEADER AND COUNCILOR TO LORD ALPHA WOLF TOSCO OF THE FAMILY GAL. IN THIS, THOU SHALT HAVE THE RANK OF WOLF PRINCE AND YOUR SON, TECITO ALSO. ALL HAIL PRINCE JONAL AND PRINCE TECITO!"

The noise of the crowd was deafening, both Jonal and Tosco were greatly loved by the Clan Cancun. The festivities went on far into the night and were enjoyed by all, although there were 50 Warriors on duty surrounding the village to make sure there were none who would hurt their people.

SAVIOR OF WOLVES

The next day, it was time for serious discussion and Jeremiah took Tosco and Jonal into Tosco's new house and they sat down for hours defining tasks and procedures. They worked out a new government for the Wolf Folk of Cancun and Jeremiah presented a gift to Tosco from his own Father, Lord Alpha Wolf Franklin, of $20 million to establish the reborn Clan Cancun Maya.

Since they planned on staying for some time, Jeremiah loaned his Warriors to Jonal and Tosco to help train the local Warriors and also to augment patrols still searching for lost Wolf Folk.

Almost every day, newly found folk were brought in and given refuge. A whole village of starving Wolf Folk was discovered over on the west coast and Jonal responded to the frantic mind calls of the Warriors trying to save the folk from starvation.

They carried 200 starving villagers, so weak they could not walk on their own, into Ruby Village, the Ancient's name for Tosco's home village. The new folk had been sorely abused by gangs looking for cheap labor to carry their packs of illegal drugs. Those very gangs were in the process of being wiped out by Tosco's Warriors, wherever they were discovered.

They were sitting to meal when an exhausted teen boy stumbled into Ruby Village. They could see he was not of their village, but he WAS wolf!

Tosco and Tecito gathered the boy into their arms and carried him into Tosco's house, where they bathed and clothed him. Jeremiah had already read the boy's mind, but he was determined to let Tosco handle the matter.

They brought the boy back out, so he could tell his story, "My Lords, we are a small group in the land to the south and we have been attacked by those who would make slaves of us. We have recently heard tales of you and I was sent to beg your assistance,"

Tosco asked, "How many are you?"

The boy replied, "We are three villages and total a little more than 400 folk. We were once a large clan but war and slavers have reduced our numbers greatly. I fear we cannot survive without your help. We were once part of the Family Gal."

Tosco hugged the boy, "We shall assist you, know you that I am Heir to the House of Gal."

Tosco called Council of War, naming Prince Jonal as War Leader. Jonal was all business, he ordered the horses readied, they would go cross country to the boy's people.

Young boys bridled the horses and stood by, waiting for the Warriors. Between the Clan Warriors and Jeremiah's Warriors, they had nearly 500 prime fighters, eager to destroy those who would enslave their folk and hurt their children, for the wolf folk considered ANY wolf child their own!

Jeremiah, much to Chub's horror, insisted on going with them. Chub equipped himself with enough firepower to start a revolution, should anything happen to Jeremiah, Lord Franklin Tate would hunt him down unto the ends of the Earth.

Jeremiah grinned at his long time friend and showed him a fully adult dragon sitting astride his horse!

Chub groaned, "Brother, I beg you to be careful, I would not survive nor would I wish to, should you be injured!"

The war party took off immediately, the young teen, Procal, rode beside the two princes, showing them the way.

Procal was, at first, wary to even speak to a prince, let alone two of them, but he was soon put at his ease. Tecito joined the three young Warriors as they rode at a fast trot that gobbled up the miles.

Shortly after mid-day of the next day, Procal told them they were near his village. They could smell smoke and hear the sobs of hurt people. They burst from the trees at full gallop, surprising the raiders who were busy binding their captives.

Tosco called out, "Save only their leaders, no others are to be spared!" Within minutes, the furious Warrior Wolves had destroyed the raider force and held their leaders at spear point.

One tried to bolt away, and a Warrior drove his spear through the man's leg, pinning him to the ground. No other raider leader was sufficiently brave to be the second man to be pinned to the earth.

Tosco jumped off his horse and grabbed the first raider, shaking him like a terrier would a rat. The man promptly lost control of his bladder, that awful face with blood red eyes that seemed to glow on a man big enough to be two men!

When they had gotten all the information they could from the raider leaders, they were all put to death and left to rot in the jungle.

They figured the main leaders would be at the largest village, so that is where Procal led them.

Without slowing, the Wolf Force burst into the village, with swords swinging and rifles clattering. That raider force lasted no longer than the first and none were spared, even for questioning.

Their sensitive hearing told them the third village was being attacked and the Warrior Force raced down the path to that village. They burst into the compound, bloody swords swinging and sharp spears gutting those who did not jump back fast enough.

When all the raiders had been killed, Procal brought an old man to Tosco, "Lord Prince Tosco, this is my Grandfather, Headman Mesquix. Grandfather, I present to you Prince Tosco, Lord of the Gal."

The old man spotted Tosco's ring and fell to his face, "Lord Viejo, Lord of Casa Gal, I beg you to care for us as your Forefathers cared for our forefathers. They were wrong to have left your ancestor's care. Let us atone for their sins that you might allow us your company once more."

Tosco dropped from his horse and gently picked up the frightened old man, "Old Father, past sins are forgotten by us all, let us begin again, fresh and new. Come with us, where you can start once more in a new land, free of these raiders and in safety for yourselves and your children. Become one with us, The Clan Cancun Maya."

The old Headman gazed into Tosco's eyes and replied, "Lord, you are as my father's fathers described you in their stories, you ARE THE LORD GAL, come again among us. I beg thee to forgive us our father's sins and allow us to be your people once more."

Holding the old man in his arms, Tosco announced to all, "I, LORD TOSCO, WOLF LORD OF HOUSE GAL, PROCLAIM THIS FOLK TO BE MINE OWN. LET ALL WHO WOULD DO THEM HURT BEWARE, MY ANGER IS TERRIBLE, MY REVENGE IS WORSE!"

Tosco put the old man on his own horse and led it from the ruined villages. His Warriors did the same, many had children riding on their shoulders as they walked the long distance back to Ruby Village leading horses burdened with starving and wounded villagers.

Along the way, they gathered fruits and killed wild game to feed the starving people. It took the Warriors five days to return to Ruby Village, but none of the terrorized villagers were lost to wounds or starvation, nor sickness.

The old Headman had his pride in his people and he introduced his Grandson, Procal, as the new Village Headman when they reestablished themselves.

Tosco was sure there were others of his folk hiding out in the jungles and he sent teams of Warriors out in search of their lost folk.

Slowly, the population of Ruby Village climbed, in less than a month, there were 2,000 folk living there. Many of the Warriors brought back stories of a strange folk that lived deep in the jungles in Honduras. Jeremiah consulted with the pilots, their charts showed a small airport at Tegucigalpa that had a landing strip sufficient to land the Red Wolf.

Tosco insisted on accompanying them, as did Tecito. Jonal hung his head, if his Lord was going, he would need to stay behind and keep their folk safe.

He thought to himself, "I am a WARRIOR, not a politician.

He never realized the power of his Prince, Jeremiah held his hand and told him, "Jonal, you are the glue that holds the folk of the Gal together. Maybe, someday, Tosco will be that glue, but for now, without your steady hand on the wheel, the ship of the Gal will sink again, perhaps never to rise again."

Jonal replied, "You are right, My Lord of Ced. Maybe someday, you will again lead me on your adventures. Until then, I will remain content."

Two days later, Jeremiah and Chub led their Warriors, supplemented by Warriors from the House of Gal back to the Cancun Airport to retrieve their plane.

Procal insisted on going with them, threatening to follow them and sneak aboard the Red Wolf when they weren't looking.

Jeremiah smiled and agreed to take him. The boy did not realize there was no way he could sneak his way around The Prince of Ced, or even Joseph, Prince of Jep, for that matter.

He would learn that lesson in the future.

They boarded their plane and made preparations for takeoff, Jeremiah had to use his Power of Persuasion to convince the Mexican Officials they were not running illegal drugs.

Jeremiah noticed Joseph watching him and guessed that he would be trying his hand at some of the ancient powers shortly, it was IN THEIR BLOOD!

John and Paul had remained in Ruby Village, helping the wolf folk reclaim their lost heritage.

INTO HONDURAS

It was a short run down to Honduras, more like an elevator ride, up and back down. They landed at Tegucigalpa, it was a small airport with a partial gravel, partial concrete landing strip.

There were no officials there, but they decided to wait until after dark to off load their troops anyway.

It was a number of miles to their objective, Villa Vieja, just outside the built up area of the city.

One of the advantages of Wolf Warriors is their speed, they covered the 20 miles in a little less than an hour. As they approached Villa Vieja, they sensed something was very wrong, the closer they got, the more strongly they felt the unease. They crept closer to the buildings, they were very old, as the name suggested.

They knew they were at the right place when they noticed iron wolf's heads decorating the tops of the spiked wall. They could see people moving in lighted rooms inside the building, so Jeremiah decided upon the "direct approach", he walked up to and rang the bell!

An old man came to the gate to tell them to go away, they could tell the man was a wolf, so Jeremiah said, "I AM THE PRINCE WOLF OF HOUSE CED, I WISH AUDIENCE WITH THE OWNERS OF THIS PLACE."

The old man stepped back, as if struck with high voltage, a voice from the door said, "Admit our visitors, Walter"

Slowly, the gate opened and the strained feeling of great sorrow poured out the door of the building. The man in the doorway said, "You come too late, Cousin, they come for us at first light on the marrow."

Jeremiah asked, "For what reason do they come for you?" The man replied, "They come for us because we offend them. Our life span and our ways are offensive to them. We are the last there are of our kind."

Jeremiah shouted, "NOT SO, BROTHER. WE ARE ALL WOLVES OF THE HOUSE OF CED AND OF THE HOUSE OF JEP, ALONG WITH THE RESTORED HOUSE OF GAL. HOW MANY ARE THERE HERE OF YOU?"

The man replied, "Cousin, there are but 20 of us remaining and of those, 4 are young children." The man paused and then continued, "Did you say, the RESTORED HOUSE OF GAL? We are of the Gal!"

Jeremiah told the Man, "I AM PRINCE JEREMIAH, HEIR TO THE HOUSE OF CED, FATHER TO THE PRINCES OF JEP AND GAL, AMBASSADOR PLENIPOTENTIARY TO THE CLANS OF THE AMERICAS."

The man became very upset, "We believed ourselves to be the last of our kind, we lost our connection to the House of Gal many years ago. If you could take just the children………"

Jeremiah drew up to his full height of 6'8" and thrust his broad shoulders forward, "NO, WE TAKE ALL OF YOU, LOOK YOU, MY WARRIORS STAND BEFORE YOU TO TAKE YOU TO SAFETY, THERE ARE 200 WARRIORS TO KEEP YOU SAFE AS WE TRAVEL TO OUR AIRPLANE. GATHER YOUR FOLK AND COME WITH US!"

The man made a sudden decision, he turned and called out, "Amanda, gather the children, Walter wake the adults, we leave this house of death in 20 minutes!"

Now, standing before the man at the door were two additional huge wolf warriors, all grinning and waiting to carry the children. Waiting first to pick up two children was Tosco, he explained to the man, "I am Lord Tosco, Alpha Wolf of the Maya Clan Cancun, Lord Prince of House Gal!"

The man nearly fainted, he said, "I am Adolfo, cousin to the last Alpha of the Honduras Clan, dead since yesterday. These are his children, Alicia and Frederico."

He turned and called out, "Hurry, they will be coming with the morning sun."

Two more children arrived, a teen boy naming himself Paulo and his sister Felcia, "Our Papa is Adolfo."

When all had gathered in the front portico, Jeremiah led them to the back gate, where there truly were 200 Wolf Warriors, all armed and all very angry! They doubled up two warriors to each resident of the house and they fled back to the Red Wolf.

There were Policia everywhere, Jeremiah was taxing his Powers of Persuasion to its limits, Tosco took Jeremiah's hand and added his power to that of Jeremiah, causing the entire party to disappear from the sight of the Policia. Jeremiah suddenly recognized the Ancient's Power of Mind Couple.

Adolfo, shook his head, "The Ancients have returned to us in our time of need!"

Jeremiah smiled, "No, Cousin Adolfo, we are modern wolves who have been blessed with the Powers of our Ancient Ancestors."

They got all the party on board the aircraft, even the old butler, Walter, who had never even seen an airplane before, let alone rode in one. The pilots had the turbines at idle and as soon as the hatch was closed and locked, they pushed the throttles to full thrust and released the brakes.

The huge aircraft began rolling down the runway, the Policia chasing after it in hopeless pursuit. They rotated the plane as soon as possible and the Red Wolf sprang into the night sky, leaving angry policemen on the ground shaking their fists.

The children were wound up like eight day clocks, they checked out every door and every locker on the plane.

Young Paulo gathered up his courage and knelt before Jeremiah, "Lord Prince, please, we have not eaten in two days, is there enough food here that we might have some?"

Joe reached across and pushed Jeremiah's mouth closed, "They need food Papa, not flies. I will get them something to eat, the adults also, if they are hungry. Come with me, children, let us find something for you to eat."

Adolfo had lost all attempts at composure, he sat on the cabin floor and cried like a baby. Jeremiah sat with the distraught man and wrapped his arm around his shoulder, "Cousin Adolfo, you and all yours are safe now, they cannot catch you and you will have a new home with our Maya Cousins, or, you may come to Charlotte, North Carolina with me and live at Greystone Manor. We could send your children to University and even your young Warriors could go back to school if they desired."

Adolfo looked at Jeremiah through tear streaked eyes, "You would do that for us, we, whom you hardly know?"

Jeremiah replied, "Adolfo, touch my ring."

Adolfo looked down at Jeremiah's hand and, for the first time, really saw the ring with its glowing emerald wolf head. His eyes grew wide as the ring pulsed, he tentatively touched the glowing stone and it grew warm under his touch.

Jeremiah smiled, "See, the ring accepts you as kinfolk, you are one with us now."

After he had gained control of his emotions, Adolfo spoke with each of his folk and also the children, they all wished to go on to Charlotte with Wolf Prince Jeremiah.

THE RETURN HOME

They landed back in Cancun and made the trip to Ruby Village, where Adolfo and his people met and declared their loyalty to Lord Alpha Wolf Tosco.

Tosco got a little weepy when it came time for the party to return to Charlotte, he hugged Jeremiah and pleaded with him to never forget his son in Cancun.

Jeremiah told him that he was as close as a thought, and he would come ever Tosco needed or wanted him. He would be his Papa for life.

At the last moment, Joseph asked to remain with Tosco for a while, "I will return, Papa, when it is time to go back to school. I must have my University Degree if I am going to lead my people."

Tosco also said, "Papa, I, also must complete my degree, I will return in two years, by that time, Tecito will be ready to stand as my Proxy. Train him well Papa, we need him also."

So it was that Jeremiah returned to his home at Greystone Manor with more folk than he had departed with. All the wings were full now and additional space was going to be needed. Jeremiah and Chub decided upon additional construction at the Manor, and it was begun immediately.

At the next Conclave, Chub introduced Jeremiah, "ALL STAND, LORD PRINCE ALPHA WOLF JEREMIAH FRANKLIN TATE ENTERS, HEIR TO THE MOST ANCIENT LINE OF CED, FATHER TO THE ANCIENT LINES OF JEP AND GAL, LORD ADVISOR TO THE MAYA CLAN CANCUN, SAVIOR OF THE ANCIENT CLAN OF MEXICO, AMBASSADOR PLENIPOTENTIARY TO THE CLANS OF THE AMERICAS, LORD ALPHA OF THE SEPT OF CHARLOTTE. HAIL PRINCE JEREMIAH."

The entire assembly rose in honor of the young wolf Prince among them, whose brilliant star shone on them all.

At the close of the Conclave, Franklin said to his son, "Jeremiah, meet with me tomorrow, there is much to discuss and I wish to make changes to our Family. Now, go you back to Charlotte and try to ease Peter's feeling of being left behind on your recent adventure."

TBC

This talented and powerful wolf prince will continue leading his folk and rejoining all the wolf folk of the Americas into close association. They are the only wolf folk remaining in the world and they are again growing in power and numbers. They will continue caring for their own and also their cousins, Humankind. Jeremiah's joy in homecoming will be complete only if he makes his peace with his Brother, Peter, for having been left behind when they went on their Cancun Adventure.
