Synopsis:
A coming-of-age tale involving two older teens in their middle high-school years, finding each other by mere chance one summer. One, Brett, is ever-present in the world and bored, because he is growing up with his younger sister, in what he feels is a stifled community. That all changes when a new family suddenly moves into the empty house just down the road. The newcomer’s have a son of similar age, it turns out, who turns out to be both interesting and reserved, but from a different walk in life. Alex's world, up until that point, had been dictated by a home-schooled life, isolated with limited exposure to everyday surroundings. The two become fast friends, and the newcomer begins to see and experience things that most everyone else takes for granted. There is a both a reserved sweetness and innocence in his persona that Brett and his sister take an immediate liking too, and soon others begin to see and feel it as well. But as their friendship grows, Brett begins to sense the new teen and his family arrived with a dark mystery behind them, carrying a monumental secret that guides their living in quiet solitude.
